A Croatian travel writer in the adventure of a lifetime
Famous Croatian travel writer Davor Rostuhar decided to go on what must be the biggest adventure of his life, knowing that only a small number of people have managed to conquer the southernmost point of the globe. Led by the desire to become the first Croatian to reach the South Pole, he spent months preparing and planning out the details of his journey.
Knowing that extreme weather conditions awaited him in the far away Antarctica, he began to train his body and mind to endure all of the forthcoming strain. Even with the best of warm clothes, surviving the polar cold is not easy; but fighting through multiple days of solitude might be an even bigger challenge. In preparation for his trip to Antarctica, Rostuhar gained physical and mental strength on the mountain tops of Croatia and other European countries.
